Abstract

The paper substantiates an applied model for building a linguocultural vocabulary glossary from media
texts for teaching Russian in Uzbek higher education. It outlines text-selection criteria, an annotation template for
culture-bound items, and classroom uses for developing pragmatic and lexical competence.
